In 2020, YuandaWinston was formed in Shanghai as a strategic alliance with leading Chinese law firm Yuanda China Law Offices, creating a truly unique platform combining premier Chinese law capabilities and extensive global experience. The team at Yuanda includes highly-regarded attorneys who previously served as general counsels, prosecutors, and auditors, with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully guide clients through each of their unique challenges in China, including dealing with government authorities, advocating before Chinese courts, and handling sensitive issues such as evidence collection. The team works closely with leading multinationals, including many Fortune 500 companies, to effectively manage high-stake and sensitive matters including anticorruption and U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act risks.
Yuanda was one of the first law firms in China to focus on data advisory services related to privacy, security, localization, transfers, and protected information. The firm recognized early on that clients’ data-related challenges would increase as legal frameworks develop globally, and therefore, invested in the development of knowledge and practical skills for data advisory services and have utilized this investment to help clients achieve their innovative business goals.
Presented by The China Business Law Journal, the annual awards highlight landmark deals, cases, and other notable achievements in the past year, based of votes and recommendations from corporate counsel, senior managers, and legal professionals from around the world.
